Ashanté Mozie is a Resident in Counseling working under the supervision of Tiffany Harris, LPC (License #: 0701004453)

Ashanté Mozie completed her Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling at Capella University in Minnesota where she also earned a Certification in Play Therapy from the School of Psychology. Recently earning her Residential License in Counseling, Ashanté specializes in working with children and teenagers as well as family systems. She has worked in various settings such as non-profit outpatient, community mental health settings, and school settings. Using an inclusive multicultural and narrative therapeutic approach, Ashanté values holistic therapeutic interventions including yoga, mindfulness, nature-based talk therapy, art therapy, play therapy, and story-telling to heal and work through trauma as well as daily stressors.
 
Services can include, individual, couples, family, and group therapy. Ashanté is trained in Suicide Prevention, Crisis Intervention, Play Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). She continues to seek ongoing updates to her skills and knowledge base. Her passion is understanding the impact of racial trauma and discrimination on Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), specifically children and adolescents, and improving interventions to support trauma recovery in the Black community for better emotional, physical, and relationship health.
