Central Virginia Clinicians of Color Network

Mission:  To provide support and professional development to clinicians of color in order to elevate the standards of care and therapeutic services for diverse populations.

Vision:  A supportive network that empowers clinicians of color and builds capacity for providing culturally responsive mental health treatment.

Values:  We believe clinicians have the right for their work to reflect their whole selves. We believe clients have the right to access quality care that respects their cultural experiences.

With resolute belief, we support #Black Lives Matter. We speak out against the impact of violence and police brutality, including what led to the killing of George Floyd, Michael Brown, Breonna Taylor and many others. We stand in opposition to advocate against oppressive and unjust systemic racism that suppresses clinicians and people’s access to care for themselves, their families, and our communities. Our pledge is to create a nurturing community that celebrates and acknowledges Black lived experiences, while building capacity for healing, and experience for true freedom.
