Our clinicians use a variety of evidence-based, culturally responsive therapeutic approaches to best meet the unique needs of each individual. Our counselors and therapists use many types of treatment, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, person-centered therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), stress management techniques, trauma-focused framework, and more.

CVCCN is not available for emergencies. If you are in crisis and need to talk to someone immediately, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department. You may also call:
Step 2: Call the Emotional Support Line on Wednesdays between 5:00 pm – 7:30 pm at 434-218-0440 and leave a message
Step 3: Receive a call back or email by a clinician for support or screening
Step 4: During the call, find a place where you can speak confidentially
Call-in wellness consultations are provided on a first come, first serve basis on Wednesdays only. We suggest calling toward the beginning of the clinic, and no later than 30-50 minutes prior to the end of phone-in clinic hours.
If you call on a day other than Wednesday, you may leave a voicemail, and we will call you back on the following Wednesday.
We strive to provide this service to all who need it, but in the event that demand exceeds our available resources, our team will make every effort to connect you with appropriate care.
